Regional Legal Documentation and Information System

The client handles hundreds of legal documents each year. Previously these were stored as separate files across several computers, so finding one regulation could take dozens of minutes and the latest version was hard to confirm.

Legacy documents were stored in inconsistent formats and naming conventions. Some regulations have attachments that must remain linked to their parent document. Users are spread across departments with different access needs.

We built a centralised system with tiered structure: regulation type, year, and validity status. Search covers title, number, and document content. Access rights are separated between document managers and public readers. Attachments link automatically to their parent.

Document search time dropped from dozens of minutes to under 30 seconds. Managers can add new regulations without technical help. The system is maintained with daily backups.
